As tattoo enthusiasts, the team at Ink Off London appreciate that sometimes you may regret certain tattoos collected along the way.

Prior to the laser technology available today, there were various ways of removing a tattoo, either for a cover up or for a complete removal. These methods included many uncomfortable treatments including salabrasion, excision and dermabrasion that almost certainly guaranteed scarring.

Ink Off London operates Q-Switched Nd:Yag Laser equipment that will successfully remove or fade unwanted tattoos.

Based in Central London, we are within easy reach of the City and surrounding areas.

 FAQ :
Q - How does it work?
A - The laser emits a pulse of light that is absorbed into certain colours of ink. The ND Yag laser light penetrates the skin at high speed (billionths of a second) .This produces a shock wave effect that disperses the ink particles into smaller pieces. The body then identifies these particles as something that shouldn't be there and attacks and removes these via the body’s immune system.

Q - Can any colour be removed?
A - Not all colours can be removed, although most can be faded. Blacks and reds are removed effectively as well as some brown, purple, orange, pink and occasionally yellow ink. Greens and blues are less effective, although these can be faded by up to 50% allowing a more successful cover up. It has been found that 80-90% of tattoo images are made from black ink. The age of the tattoo, the depth of the ink and whether it was a professional of amateur piece will also affect the number of sessions required.

Q - How much will it cost?
A - The costs for removal start from £40.00 per session. We believe these to be the lowest costs locally. The size of the tattoo determines this cost. After an initial, free consultation we will estimate the number of sessions required based on the size, age and colours of the tattoo. We will also inform you of special offers and package prices available.

Q - How many treatments are required?
A - Most fading / removals require between 3 and 10 sessions dependant on the above.

Q - Will it hurt and scar?
A - This depends upon your pain threshold. Some people describe it as an annoying pain, or the feeling of having a rubber band snapped against the skin. Prior to your treatment the area to be treated will be numbed to minimise any discomfort that may be felt. Our lasers leave virtually no scars. In rare cases those with scarring disorders, such as keloids, have an increased risk of forming a scar as a result.
